Early at 6am, our driver arrived to drive us to the airport. Spend some time checking in there and was looking around in the Dufry Shop (Duty Free Shop). Saw the amok powder and bought a bottle. will try to cook it at home and see if it works out like wat it should be...haha...
The flight to Bangkok was shorter than planned. It took abt 55min instead of 1hour 10min.
Met the person who will drive us to our guesthouse - Happy House Guest House. He took some time to find it bcoz it was hidden in a small alley. From its appearance it seemed to be a nice place but when we got into our room, i felt disappointed. We checked in, left our stuffs there and headed out to Chatuchak Weekend Market.
On our way to take the bus, there was this "friendly" Thai came up to us asking where were we going and told us that Chatuchak was closed again and was acting friendly to offer us other places to visit around bkk. But we had already read in the book that this is a way the taxis drivers here trying to cheat the tourists and bring them to somehwere else where they can earn commisions. so after afew words we ignored him and walked our way.
We took the bus no.3 and arrived at Chatuchak. OMG!! the market is so big and the crowd!!! It was abt 5 times as big as Petaling Street in KL.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia Day #3
today we decided to walk on our own around Phnom Penh.
First we went to the Grand Palace of Cambodia. Big and beautiful place, very big, very beautiful. You can never imagine that a country like cambodia can have such a nice palace.
Then we headed to the National Museum. It was already abt 11.30am and after spending abt 2and 1/2 hour in the palace, we were too tired and hungry to actually appreciate wat was in the museum. Further more we were not allowed to take photo in the museum, so forget abt it. dont even bother to ask me wat was inside, coz they are only those heads of statues aken from the angkor.
Took tuk-tuk to Sorya Shopping Mall and had lunch in a local fast food restaurant called Lucky Seven. So so the food.....
Then went around the mall, not interesting at all. Missed the shopping malls in KL; Suria KLCC, Sg. Wang, Midvalley, Jusco etc. but definitely not Summit (att to Kopi Prince, muahaha...) Found a CD store selling really cheap cheap CD, VCD and DVD. So tempted to buy but takut they are pirated ones, so spent time looking around only..
When we were abt to leave, it was raining heavily outside lo. waited for so long for it to stop but it just didnt. And when it was slightly lighter, we decided to walk across 2 streets to the central market. I bought a disposable raincoat. BUT...BUT...after we went onto the street, we discovered that the main issue then was not how to prevent our top from getting wet, it was the bottom. basically the road was floaded with water abt 5 to 6 inches deep. we did not know abt it and we ended up soaking our shoes and the end of our trousers. Cammy even took of her shoes to protect them bcoz they are genuine Adidas....haha....
After spending abt 1 and 1/2 hour shopping in central market, we took tuk-tuk to the Russian Market. The Russian Market is a very big market with very small lorongs. It was very difficult to walk inside bcoz there was so many ppl there. Addition to that, our shoes were stil wet like shit, it was not comfort at all. Not a very nice market. So if anyone going to Phnom Penh, and staying somewhere near Sisiowath Quay, i would recommend that if u had been to the central market, never bother to go to the russian market coz the things there are jz the same.
We went back to Sisowath Quay by tuk -tuk again and went to the riverside across the road to take pictures. Then for dinner we went to Veiyotonle again to try out their pizzas. Had a nice conversation with the staffs there; they still remember us. So sweet. enjoyable dinner :)
Tmr we will leave Cambodia heading to Bangkok, Thailand.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia Day #2
After having breakfast in an expensive looking chinese restaurant but with cheap food, we went to a few places including Wat Phnom, Wat Ounolom, Independence Monument and Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Monument.
Then we had lunch in Khmer Surin restaurant. Nice restaurant but expensive food.
Visited the Choung Ek Killing Field and Toul Sleng Genocide Museum. Sad experience. Really could not understand why some ppl would do such things to his own brothers and sisters....
At night we had dinner in a chinese restaurant. We met the boss there, he heard us talking in cantonese and approached us and chatted. i think he is from hong kong but he claimed he had relatives in malaysia. And most important of all, he had his workers gave us discount, hahaha.....Nice food but abit spicy.....
Tmr will be a tiring day...i think.....

Siem Reap, Cambodia Day #4 & Phnom Penh, Cambodia Day #1
Went to market this morning & had breakfast in one of the coffee shop there. ordered fried pork with rice (chu par fan) and coffee shake. After that, we went into the market & experienced the atmosphere of Siem Reap's wet market. The smell, the people, the things sold there reminded me that it has been long since i last accompanied my mum to the market.
We left the market and on our way back to Mandalay, we tried the grilled banana & cambodian pork bun (pau) sold by hawkers on motorcycles. They were delicious local delicacies.
Our bus to phnom penh departed at 1pm. It wasnt a pleasant journey.
1. it took 6 hours, distance of 300km from siem reap across Kampong Thom, Kampong Cham before arriving at phnom penh.
2. the bus was bumping, rocking, or bouncing (watever the fk 'ing' term) all the way which made sleeping in it impossible.
3. the driver kept on sounding the hon to warn other motorist on the road to keep right as the bus was approaching.
4. There was this big TV and loud stereo playing 2 chinese movie with Khmer translation and later a bunch of Khmer songs!!! OMG!!! How to sleep, you teach me lah!!
At last we reach PP at abt 630pm. Relieved?? not really....
1. There was problem with our luggage. They did not tag our luggage and din give us any sticker lo, then dun wanna let us take our luggage, but we insisted, strongly, and at last they gave up. WTF!
2. The tuk-tuk driverSSS were surrounding us, like we were going to give them GOLD....they want USD3 per tuk-tuk to dirve us to our hotel but we manage to reduce the price to USD1...haha...
After arriving at our hotel, Cozyna, at Sisowath Quay, we checked in, and headed out to have our dinner.
We chose to dine in a non-profit restaurant run by the New Cambodian Children Life Association (NCCLA) called Veiyotonle. The staffs there are all orphans and they work to support their own life and the profit is used to support the orphanage. They are very friendly and their food are nice.
End of a tiring day...looking forward for tmr's trip.

Siem Reap, Cambodia Day #3
Day 3 in Angkor.
Bcoz of the heavy rain last nite, we cancelled our plan to see the sunrise Angkor Wat.Instead, we went to a few more temples in Angkor, but it seemed like we no longer have interest in them.
Maybe we were tired but i think the most important reason is bcoz these small temples aren't as interesting as Angkor Wat.The next interesting place that we were waiting for was Banteay Srey (Palace of The Lady God). It was different from other temples in ANgkor bcoz all the status in this temple are goddesses.
For lunch we went to another Khmer restaurant called Khmer Family. The food, delicious and cheap. However, poor Yeon chiat coz she couldnt stand the smell and taste of lemongrass and other khmer herbs and spices, she had difficulty to find herself anything tasty.
Later we went to Artisan de Angkor. The people there was very friendly. The reception introduced us to a Mandarin speaking tour guide, Sok, who brought us around the workshops to see how the ppl there work to produced beautiful souvenirs out of wood, rocks and painting. BY listening to his explaination, then only we learned that why some souvenirs are expensive.
Added to that, most of the ppl working there, esp the painters are deaf and mute.In the souvenir shop, they sell alot of souvenir, including products weaved from silk such as clothes, dresses and ties.
After leaving Artisan de Angkor, we went to Central Market to continue our lust of buying. Hahaha....
In the evening, we went back to Angkor to go up Bakon hill to see the sunset. However, once again it was disappointing coz the cloud was thick and we could not see a thing. Anyway, we spent some fun time up there...hehe....
Had dinner in Arun Restaurant again, by popular request. Tried some new dishes and as usual DELICIOUS (Mama..mia....) esp the fried vege with curry banana & chilies.
Final night in Mandalay Inn, so took a few pictures. OMG!!! just 3 days and i am already so dark....7 days to go...!!!

Siem Reap, Cambodia Day #2
Day 2 in Angkor.
today we visited a few more temple in Angkor in the morning.
Then we went back to town to have lunch in a restaurant called Khmer Kitchen. Despite the fact that they put MSG in their cooking, we still find it delicious. We ordered for Amok again today bcoz it was simply irresistable. However, we found that the one we had the day before in Arun Restaurant was more delicious. Anyway, it was not bad especially for those who cannot tolerate too heavy lemongrass flavour.
After lunch, we headed back to Angkor to visit Angkor Wat, the most famous temple in Angkor.
Really could not describe how amazing it was. You can only feel it when you visit it yourself. Pictures are just pictures. You have to be here by yourself to see it.
In the evening, we went toTonle Sap lake to see the sunset. The lake is very nice, u can see floating houses, floating restaurant, floating schools, and guess wat? a floating basketball court!!!!
Amazing duh??!!
Sunset was so so....
Dinner was so so oso...We had it at Wood House Restaurant, a chinese cusine restaurant. Owner is from China. The food here can be cooked by my mum, and its quite expensive. I rather eat Khmer food again esp amok, which i think i am more than willing to have it every meal in Cambodia. dunno whether stil able to eat it again in Msia. even we had it in Cambodian restaurant in KL but it bet the taste will be different from those cooked by local Cambodian.
Went to Night Market to get some souvenir. You should look at how my fellow girl frens bargain with the sellers. You can pengsan!!!

Siem Reap, Cambodia Day #1
After a sleepless nite yesterday, we arrived at LCCT at 5am this morning.
The plane to Siem Reap AK846 took off at 7am sharp. The flight took 2 hours and we arrived at Siem Reap International Airport at 8am. Wierd yeah? haha...coz there is 1 hour difference between KL and Cambodia.
The driver from Mandalay Inn was already there went i exit the airport. After about 15min drive, we arrive at Mandalay Inn. Its a cozy guesthouse in an alley somewhere near the pub street, abt 5 minutes walk. The staffs here are very friendly and helpful.
Directly after we left our luggages in our room (mine is 3004), we followed our driver to take a short tour around town. Passed by alot of places. One that really caught my attention was a chjildren hospital. There were so many ppl queuing in front of the hospital to get treatment for their children. There was a sign written "Endemic Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever, Pls help saving lives by donating blood, especially group B and AB".
It was really sad to see them sick and have to wait outside the hospital. There was such a huge crowd that many of them needed to wait across the road. However, Cambodia is a very unique place. you could see the very extreme end just opposite the road. Why? coz jz opposite this hospital, there was a few small boutiques and guess wat are they selling...Gucci, Prada, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, etc.... Wat a world!!
We went on to visit the Angkor and bought a 3-days pass. Alot to talk about the places we have visited today in Angkor, but jz let the pictures tell the story.....

We went back to mandalay, took a nice bath and rest awhile before heading off to Arun Restaurant for dinner. The food there were really great!!!!! especially Amok and Somla. Never miss to try it out when anyone of you ever come to cambodia.
Received an sms from Matthew and replied to him tht we planned to go Night Market but he din reply, maybe he was not interested. However, the rain coz us to change our plan and we headed to Pub Street instead. Took few nice pictures and the locals and some other tourists were amazed with our idea of bringing a tripod around.
Decided to sit in Red Piano and have a drink. We ended up quite disappointed because the drinks suck and mine is the worse ---- Bloody Mary! Yucks!!!!
The price here are more expensive and they dont have a great variety of cocktails. So i would say NOT RECOMMENDED. we'll try to look for other better place tmr nite....
I was high coz i drank almost all the Sucking Bloody Mary and abt 1/3 of my fren's Tomb Raider, haha......

Along the way in buyon temple, me, szeyin and feiming met Matthew, an American who is working in Sulawesi and currently travalling alone to cambodia. He is a very nice chap, and he even offered to take a picture of us using his Canon EO5 and it was amazing comparede to our dummy cameras. We walked with him for a lil more time before we seperated during lunch. We left our email and hp number to him, jz in case he wanna find us out for a drink later at nite.

Disgusting...!!!
Usually i dun give a damn to these kind of people but today, SHE (not the taiwanese pop group S.H.E., they are pretty and SHE is not) definitely spoilt my mood.
It was after dinner jz now with Alex that i gone back to FFLM to enjoy my novel reading time coz it was raining elephant and giraffe outside, i cant go to get my car. It was the lovely time i gave myself everyday to pamper myself during this holiday and for all these while, it was as lovely as it can never be.
BUT TODAY, there was this lady or should i say woman came to sit on the set of couch next to the one i was sitting on and start flirting with a Turkish guy. That guy is a regular in LM and a nice person. Dunno how he knew this LOUD SPEAKING lady....woman....At first i ignored their conversation but she was so loud, it distracted me away from my book. I listened (i.e. evesdropping, but not my fault, she asked for it) to wat she was talking and she was there boasting abt how well she can speak French, and the funny thing was the Turkish guy wasnt impressed at all and he started to talk abt how ppl nowadays dun learn French anymore...hahaha...she was speechless and I was giggling...wahaha...!!!!
Then i continued to read, ignoring them once again. After abt 10 minutes later the guy walked off, i think he cannot tahan her liao and was trying his best to end the conversation. I was so glad but then again, there she came again. There is a Chinese proverb which says "Another wave comes before the previous one subsided", which is very true.
There she goes again, took out her HP and started to call one of her friend. She spoke even louder than before as if she wanna let the whole gym know that she was on the phone. At that hour 6pm the gym was quite empty so you could hear her voice echoing around. I think the guy on the threadmill at the other end oso could hear her.
She was there again boasting to her friend about her trip to Beijing next week, about how much she's gonna spend to buy a brand new violin back from china, how much it would cost her in Msia, etc etc etc...
Then came the worst part (the worse part being her laughter). She was coughing while she was talking and i could hear it clearly that she was having this chesty cough i.e. sputum in her throat. After a few times coughing, she made that sound, that...that...arghk pui sound. You know wat i mean? I think so. Then i saw her took up the cup (the blue colour cup for hot drinks in FF) fr the coffee and spitted into it. OMG!!!!!
There was another cup of the same type sitting there in front of me, filled up with coffee, MY COFFEE. I looked into my cup, and the image of her sputum floating in my coffee started to intrude into my mind. Yucks....!!!!!!
Then she was there talking into the phone again......
I tried very hard to concentrate on my book but i couldnt. The thought of that eerie scene kept on flashing in my mind. Even thought stopping did not work for me. I decided to go back earlier than planned. I took up my cup wanting to drink from it, and until it was on my lips that suddenly i realised that i wouldnt want to drink from it anymore.
Ei??!! She finished her conversation with a big laugh and she walked away with her sputum cup. She went to the bar area and she...she filled it with water. At that moment, there were lightnings and thunders in my head, WAS SHE GOING TO DRINK IT???!!! ARGH.........
wof...!! I was so relieved when i saw her pour away the content into the bin. She was jz trying to flush the content away...At least she was courteous enuf the clean the shit and not jz leave it to the workers there....anyhow, SHE spoilt my mood to continue reading, so i packed my stuff into my bag and walk out....
I was so pissed off by her that i wanted to take out my phone and snap her photo (like a fren of mine did in his blog...Fucked Up Specimen) so that i can post it here for u guys to see, but i m a very guai person and the club's rule is no photo taking allowed in the premise so i jz stick to it.
Haih...spoil my day oni.....

Cerebellar Dysfunction
I always wonder how my patients felt abt their illness...sad or frustrated? used to it or trying to adapt to it?
Today i have the chance to experience it myself and it is one that nobody would like to get...Cerebellar Dysfunction.
How i get to experience it?

Thru this:

This morning waking up dunno from where this stupid idea came into my mind and i check the timetable. Then i made this decision to attend BodySteps for the very first time. I thought it would be fun....but i think it ended up being funny, i mean myself, looked funny....and stupid. Haha...
So i reached FFLM after meeting up my junior in hostel, jz in time to miss BodyBalance (i planned to do so, to avoid myself getting exhausted today, coz tmr got BodyCombat...hehe)
I enjoyed a cup of coffee and read the novel Jenny borrowed me, a very nice and well written one (I'll recommend it to u guys later) and then went for BodyPump. Lately I found Pump isnt that hard as i thought and I am able to finish most of the tracks without 'tao kai' in between...but lunges is always my weakness. Luckily today i tried out wat Toi-toi taught me last nite, and i find it useful....i am sure in few months time, my legs will be better....
There was an hour break before BodyStep and i continue with my readings lo....and in between i have 2nd person auditory hallucination which kept telling me not to go for BS. However, i manage to ignore it..yeah!!! (can i have a clap of hands...thank you you thank you you....)
But later when i was in the class, i started to regret getting into it. the warm up was fine coz still basic steps, but when it got into the 2nd track, my calf started to hurt....and i started to lose coordination of my legs...and to make it worse, the instructor was adding in hands movements =.="
For that one moment, i really felt that i hv serious problem. my cerebellum isnt functioning!!!
I tried hard to follow but i always missed the move. My legs, sometimes they were so in love, they keep banging into each other and sometimes they had a fight, and kept moving in different directions. haih....and my hands, speechless.....at last i gave up my hands and jz trying hard to concentrate on my legs.....Few times, i almost tripped off the board....
After finishing the 2nd track, some ppl (i think they are newbies like me) started to leave and me too, almost followed them out, but bcoz my face very thin only, so i resisted myself and stayed back for the whole 1 hour, bearing with the embarassment and humiliation I was inflicting on myself (though the thought leaving did come again few times later).
Was never that relieved when it came to cool down track 10.
When i first started with BodyCombat, i think it was tiring and exhausting. But i survived and fell in love with it
Then it was BodyBalance, it was hard but later i was addicted to it
When it came to BodyPump, I said I could not do it any better, but now i am happy with it.
BodyStep??? Should I give another try to it???

Not motivated
today went for my 2nd Bodycombat after coming back form TI....
suprisingly for these 2 classes, i dun work as hard as i did previously.....
i was jz sort of posing around with all the movements, emotionally i'm flat....
am i getting bored with it oredi? No i dont think so, i was doing well in BodyPump on monday, was planning to go BodyBalance or RPM tmr.....no my factor....then definitely its the instructor's factor.....
Last sunday was a tall guy, dunno wat his name, he sort of dun speak very clearly, tough tight or dysarthria? dunno......but he himself was not working very hard as well, he barely sweat oso... sienz.....
Today was another instructor, YJ...he was much much better....friendly and ok la got some sense of humour....however, when i walked in to studio and saw him, my emotion and motivation dropped from like 95% (under room air and temperature) to below 50%. Maybe I am too used to attending Cal's session liao, so when he was not around to teach, the fun seems to be lesser.....
Maybe i should start attending other instructors' class as well lo.....
Wonder why he wasn't teaching these few days.....

Do I know you, Miss Smith, Miss Rose and Miss LaRue???
today was a freaking tiring and neurons killing day....
Had 1 seminar, 1 data interpretation and 1 radiology lecture BACK TO BACK!!!!
from 9am till abt 4.30pm with only 1 hour break for lunch! imagine....this is crazy.....
Especially with the Rheumatology seminar....oops! what's that? Alien? Stephen Chow's alien dog CJ7 izit?
I was totally (well, not totally, just to exagerate how much i dont knw abt rheumato) blank and mouth drop wide thru out the seminar...wtf are they talking abt?
Dr. S was talking abt this anti-Sm is not anti smooth muscle but its an antibody found in this so called Miss Smith so they named it Anti-Sm antibody. Same goes to Anti-Ro and Anti-La belonging to Miss Rose and Miss LaRue....huh???!!!!
All this while i thought Ro and La were sort of the greek letter/symbol that we use in physics....
At the end of the seminar all i know was i dont know anything abt rheumatology (again exagerating).....
Hematology Data Interpretation with Prof. L and Radiology with Dr. T was better, in fact so so so so much better....I can answer the questions, make sense of wat was coming out from her (both are her) mouth and digest it....

A New Beginning
Suddenly i wanna start blogging again, but not in my previous blog in friendster....
i wanna create i new blog.....a new beginning!
It has been almost a year i went to gym, alot of changes i've noticed in myself, physically and mentally.
Never i thought that i would become one who goes to gym and what more getting addicted to it.
Only after 7 months that i attend my first group X class - - BodyCombat.

Only after 7 months that i attend my first group X class - - BodyCombat.

Previously i thought i was too shy to get in to a group exercise class, to jump and kick and move with the rhythm of the music in front of so many ppl...so embarassing...!!!
But once i am in, i never wanna leave.
From a beginner who knows nothing, trying so hard to follow the instructor and others in the class, to follow the beat, the rhythm and coordination, i have moved on to become an intermediate now. I am enjoying every single moment i spent there, sometimes trying to heat up the class ( by screaming and shouting...^_^"' ).
Others do respond, you know, which makes me even higher....haha!!
Not enuf with combat, i got myself into BodyPump, Balance and RPM as well.....

Balance is really nice, but pump and rpm really are killing me but i like it!
Like the muscle sores (myalgia) that develops the next days...

the more severe it is, the more i like it...hahaha!!!
I think i am crazy, my friends say i am channeling the stress in studying for finals into self mutilating....hahaha!!! But really it's not, well, perhaps i am, but at least i am doing it the healthy way....hehe!!!

Have i changed much? Yes, i do.
I live a healthier life compared to before,
but............
i am still me, i am still shy......
